Mommy Makeover

Mommy Makeover - There is no reason that women can't look and feel great after having children.  After pregnancy, a woman's body has a harder time returning to its pre-baby weight.

Mommy makeovers can help restore women’s physical appearance with minor cosmetic surgeries.  Each Mommy Makeover done by Dr. Varon is completely customized for each individual’s specific needs.

Reasons for Considering Mommy Makeover Surgery:
Improve breast and body shape after pregnancy.
Flatten abdomen after pregnancy.
Lift and/or enhance breasts following childbirth.

Best candidates for Mommy Makeover Surgery:
The best candidates for Mommy Makeover Surgery are healthy women who have finished having children and want to get back to their pre-baby bodies.  Many women choose to flatten their stomachs and lift their breasts following childbirth and breast feeding and mommy makeovers are just the ticket.

General Procedure:
Mommy makeover procedures differ for each individual and consist of various cosmetic procedures.  Most often they will include breast augmentation, abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), liposuction and/or breast lift surgeries.

Recovery Process:
Once the makeover is complete, like with other surgeries, post-operative instructions call for plenty of rest and limited movement to speed up the healing process and recovery time.  Once the anesthesia has significantly worn off, you may leave the surgery center with a companion.  Depending on the procedures performed, a surgical bra may need to be worn for a few weeks after surgery.  Dr. Varon will prescribe oral medication to help treat any pain experienced post-surgery.

We always recommend that someone is available to take care of your and your children for the first couple of days after surgery so you can rest and recover.  Someone is REQUIRED to be with you the first night following surgery.  Since a mommy makeover includes multiple procedures, it usually requires a bit more recovery time than just one cosmetic surgery.  We recommend that you take off one week from work at the very minimum to concentrate on healing and recovering. While complications are rare, patients can minimize potential problems by carefully following the directions given by Dr. Varon after surgery.
